Hey Internet friends. If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know I teased a very magical month here on emmmysue.com. Why? Because Nick and I are finally seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway this month!
Would you believe that even though I'm a Harry Potter nerd that I don't know any real details about the play? It's true. I don't own the script. I've never read a synopsis. I've walked away from many conversations (internet and real-life) between people that have read the script. Avoiding Cursed Child spoilers has been a full-time job. I know that it takes place in the future, Hermione might be the Minister of Magic, and it's as much about the trio as it is their children.
Crazy, right? But like many people my age, Harry Potter defined my childhood ... and let's be honest it still is defining our adulthood (keep the new stuff coming, JK). I didn't want to know anything about Cursed Child until I could EXPERIENCE Cursed Child. Same as why all our English teachers made us act out scenes from the Bard. There is so much you miss about a play by only reading it off a page. Plays are meant to be performed, not read.
So for the month of July, my TBR pile is getting a little more magical.
